BMW 650i vs. Porsche 911 Carrera? And what's the biggest difference of a V6 and V8?

biggest V6 has 6 cylindes and a V8 has

the Carrera is not a V6, it is an opposed 6 cylinder

yes they do ride a little rough...one thing you give up(alomg w/ space) but it is a true sports car

how much horse power do you need??

I'm looking to buy a new car and these are my top choices are roughly the same price. I know most people prefer V8's over V6 but I don't know why. I'm not really a car fanatic so please be clear and specific. I have test drove the BMW but not the Porsche yet. The BMW seems to drive very sporty and I was just wondering if anyone driving or drove a Porsche would it also be as sporty and rough? But anyways people say V6 are smaller horses then V8's but Porsche puts out a lot on their V6 engines. So it's a real tough decision for me and I need help! PLEASE! Thanks :)

Both are great cars. The Porsche is more of a sports car, and the BMW is more of a grand tourer.

The Porsche uses a B6 (boxer 6-cylinder) horizontally opposed engine. It is very powerful and has a great and unique sound. The Porsche has a better power to weight ratio, and interesting dynamics. The Porsche will be much more sporty, but less smooth, due to its sporty nature.

The BMW has a V8 and sounds very nice. It is more smooth than the Porsche. It handles in a fun, classic way. It is a very sexy car.

Drive both and see witch one you like.
