HELP! Lol I am SO lost when it comes to this stuff. I want to take my home videos and record them onto disks to play on my DVD player. What disks do I need???
Also the difference between DVD-R and DVD+R.

Certain formats the videos need to be in?

You need DVR+. Also you need a program to convert the files into a format that will work on any DVD. I use DVD clone from slysoft.com, about 39.99. With this program I also use DVD shrink 3.2 to to uncode Movies and burn them to DVD's making movie copies (sorry unrelated). Also you can use Nero to burn DVD's also. Save the files on your hard drive from the camera and use Nero7 to burn them onto a dvd. You can use Microsoft movie maker to edit the films before you burn them...Good Luck

You need DVD-RW but make sure your computer is capable of burning DVDs. If not then you will not be able to burn your video onto the DVD-RW
