The laptop came with an Infrared Sensor, while I tried to clean it. it scratched it a little but they were light. The Bluetooth worked fine but It cut off once but it might just of been a coincidence. I have a 2 year extended warranty that covers accidental damage, my question is. Is there any tools I could use to validate whether the Bluetooth is damaged that could make use of the infrared sensor and test it?

bluetooth and infrared are two different technologies. perhaps you disabled bluetooth by accident while cleaning it? some laptops have switches or buttons/function keys to enable/disable wifi/bluetooth etc.. check to make sure its turned on properly.
