Can a Divx DVD Player play .mkv?

Hey guys i have a movie with following configuration
Resolution: 1280*720
Frame rate: 23.976 fps
Aspect ratio: 16:9
Video C/B: x264 @ 2245 kbps
Audio C/B: AC3 6CH @ 640 kbps
Language: English
Container: Mat Roska (.mkv) ------ [THE TROUBLE]

Can a Divx DVD player play this file. I dont want to waste the DVD for nothing...
