Can Burned DVD Movies Play On A Blue Ray DVD Player?

I have a lot of burned movies on DVD, if I buy a blue ray dvd player (I know they will play normal store bought dvds) will my burned copies of dvd movies play in the machine? specifically the Sony BDP-S360 Blu-ray & DVD Disc Player Full HD 1080p" model

As long as you burn the DVD in a format the player can read it should play fine.
