Can I download software to play a DVD-ROM game without a dvd rom drive?

I purchased "The Sims 2 Fun with Pets Collecton" and I am awae that I need a DVD-ROM drive to play it. The problem is, I don't have a DVD-Rom drive..... (crap). Is there any software or anything I can download to allow me to play this game, convert it to a CD file or anything?!? (I would just buy a drive, but our computer is kind of old, and my dad says the hard rive will take a crap one of these days, so there is no use.)
