Your HTS should work just fine with your TV and any HDMI cable.

Make sure, on the HTS system you change the settings to output on a 16:9 TV at 720p or 1080p (depending on what TV you have).

...system and a 1.3 version TV? I have an older panasonic home theater system that is hd compatible but it is a 1.2a version. I just purchased a new Samsung HDTV. The TV connection instructions say that my TV may not function properly if the hd version of my home theater component was less than a 1.3 version. I tried using an HDMI cable and the picture was not good. Is there a way I can connect the TV with the HD hook up on my dvd theater system and get a good HD picture?
