Can I play football for the first time in my senior year of high school?

I'm a junior in high school, and i'm thinking of trying out for the football team in senior year. I'm 5'8 and around 180 pounds. I've never played football on an organized team, but i'm wondering if it's possible to get on varsity as a first year senior, and what position I would play.

You should give it a shot. Go out for the team and see what happens. If you don't make it you gave it your best shot. If you are speedy try defensive back.
