Can the blackberry bold get free wifi on apps and things?

My mom is gonna get me a phone and i want to text on it. but my mom wont get text. so i was wondering if there was a app on the black berry where you can text other people who dont have the same app and stuff. kinda like text free for the i devices. Also can you get free wifi on the blackberry bold at your house?

I have a blackberry too and yes to all of that....you'll need to set up your phone to use your home's wifi with the phones network connections options.

You don't need to worry about any special app for texting on the blackberry....it comes ready set to go there....that is one thing that blackberry does better than any other phone. Texting free is most often included in most data plans...check yours too.
