Car speakers question!?

I'm looking into buying new speakers for my 2004 kia. I play my music loudly and I have ripped the speakers that are currently in my car. I want a smoothe sound with some bass. Not sub woofers though. Should I get 3 way, 4 way or 5 way speakers? Any other info would be great! Thanks!
