If you have a program on a DVD, could you copy it to your computer? In Windows Explorer, it says that my drive is a DVD/CD-RW drive. Would it work?

Yes it will work. RW of you drive means Read and Write. Just open your DVD drive from My Computer and drag and drop your program to your desktop.

im not sure what program you would use. but you would need to find a program that exports ISO image its an exact copy of a dvd. you need somekind of dvd ripper. but thats all i know about dvd programs.

Usually, but the program may not allow itself to run without the DVD.

It depends on the program, some programs are copy-protected, like games and OSs, if it's a program downloaded from Internet and burned on the disk, then you can access it as if it was on a normal folder.
