Creating BLU-RAY to WMV file to play on Xbox?

I am wondering how and what I need to be able to buy a blu-ray dvd, and convert the movie on the disc to the HD WMV file type to stream to my Xbox 360, I have downloaded sample HD WMV files and streamed them to my Xbox and they look amazing. Special programs? I am assuming I will need an internal blu-ray drive for my pc... It would be cheaper than paying for a blu-ray player I think...

NOTE: I do not intend to rent movies and then copy them, I plan on buying the blu-ray movies, I just cant afford a player right now.
