from anywhere in the world? I have $250 worth of region 2 dvds, a 1 year old $200 dvd player that is (or has) DivX and a 3 year old $250 27" TV. What is NTSC and why might my old TV not be compatible with my newer dvd player?
NTSC is the video format used in North America and Japan.
Divx playback is not related to DVD region coding.
It is nice when BOTH the DVD player and the TV support the same format (both NTSC, PAL or multi-format)
