Since you have internet? can you give me a brief of pros and cons?

If the DVD shop only sells DVD's then that would be risky. You'd have to be sure the need is there in the market and where your deciding to open this shop.

If your DVD shop sells other goods and offers other services, like making custom CD's or DVD's or some service people are likely to invest in, then I'd say yes.

I can get any movie I want for 5 bucks and the only time i buy a DVD is if i really like the movie and want it on blueray. In the age of internet and illicit downloading, your faced with steep competition.

Your taking the right step weighing your options and researching before you delve into this business venture, but i applaud your efforts. I'm sure whatever you decide to do and give it the best you have, your business endeavor will turn out fine.

Good luck!

Between movies on demand on cable, sattelite, and the Internet, and competition from redbox at $1 a night, I wouldn't think it's a very good business to get into.

It's not a bad idea, DVD's are not going to go any wear for at least the next 5 years, but be ready to start selling Blu-Rays, because they are the future

Pros: A lot of people watch movies, I know obviously.

Cons: Blu-Ray will catch on and DVD will become the new VHS.
