Does a 160gb Playstation 3 play blue ray? And is it backwards compatible?

I bought a 160gb Ps3 off of Ebay and now some people are telling me that the 80gb are better even though they are smaller because they are backwards compatible and they play blue ray. Is this true?? Does the 160gb play blue ray and is it backwards compatible or not?
 
80 gigs cant play ps2
the old 20 gigs could, i used to have one. but they couldnt do wireless internet so thats why i got an 80g
 
All PS3's play Blu-Ray.

The new 80GB and 160GB cannot play PS2 games, but they can play PS1 games. There may be a new update soon that will allow new PS3's to play PS2 games again
 
All PS3 models play Blu-Ray, because the games itself are on Blu-Ray discs.
