does the LG BD630 blu-ray player play pal discs?

i'm looking into buying the LG BD630 blu-ray player from amazon (.com), and i saw a review saying it wouldn't play a "region FREE pal disc" (what's a pal disc if it's region free?). is it multi-region? if not why won't it even play a region free disc?

Universal players are not very common in the market today. The only universal player that I know of is that of the OPPO 93 which sells for $499. I have not seen any disc that are a universal that can play on any player in the world. This is to prevent coping of the material. Hope this will help you out.
