driving minors with provisional license in california?

No, they cannot pull you over for suspecting that you only have a provisional license.

However, if you roll a stop sign or something THEN they can add oodles to a ticket and potentially take away your license.
 
So I want to drive my friend to school tomorrow with me. I have a provisional license in California and I was wondering if I can be pulled over JUST for driving a minor? I wanted to know if that's a secondary offense or can i be pulled over JUST for that? Please provide a link if possible. And also please don't link me to the dmv website because it doesn't really say whether or not it's a secondary offense.

and i'm 16 if that makes a difference.

ps i also want to know if he can pull me over if he just suspects i'm under 18?
