I know this is a tad long PLEASE READ I need help I appreciate it
I am a frustrated guitarist that has a complete Progressive Trash and Technical Death Metal project ready to go with Compositions and all. For the last 2 months every other day up to today I have been posting want ads on craigs list for a drummer with very little success practically none. Right before the new year I found a drummer and we discussed my project and it looked good with him he knew what he was talking about. So I sent him 4 MP3s of all guitar parts to a 10 or so minute song and told him to keep me posted and I have not heard a thing. Working with other musicians these days and with all the friggin Communication Breakdown Epic Failures I am about to explode, the only thing I can think of is they decide they cant hang but don’t have the common courtesy to let you know it’s a no go.
In short I am fed up seriously so I asked some dudes for a good Drum Software that sounded as close as possible to real drums and a dude told me about Leafdrums. So I downloaded it and it sounds great but I realized my music is far to complex for me a non drummer to write drums for it, I just don’t have the skill or the patients and I am no Death Metal drummer those guys are Sick Players I just don’t have the skill. NOW HERE IS THE BOTTOM Q.
Is there a Drum Machine software that has pre written drum patterns that are a little more complex than average 4/4 drum parts? Something with a variety to where I can listen and get ideas to write riffs over. Something as less expensive as possible and as real sounding as Leafdrums, free if possible via download =P Because it looks like I am going to have to start writing songs from scratch I am way Over Due for some kind of final product for a lot of people that like my music.
