Ok. I am not going to ask this question in car audio since I know what the answer will be. I wan't some real answers on the current/electrical happenings here. In car audio sometimes people will have voltage drops to their amps because their alternator can't keep up with the current demands which inturn will fry your alternator from too much strain. A high output alternamter would solve this but some people can't afford it so the opt to do the BIG 3 instead. The BIG 3 is replacing all the stock charging system wires with 0 gauge in the car to allow for more current flow to the amp for less voltage drops. It does help with that quite a bit. Now that being said my question is if the 0 guage wiring upgrade allows for more current to flow from you alternator to your amps would that not put more strain on your alternator than using the stock 8 gauge wire and defeat the purpose of the whole thing to begin with which is trying to save the alternator. Follow me?
