example by being so morbidly obese? Best answer wins a fabulous 3 week self catering cave holiday for 3 in Pakistan (flights not included) and a crisp £4 note.

1. Buddha is not a God;
2. Buddha is not obese.

Looks like you are on a learning curve. That's a good thing.

Buddha is not a God. The actual man was very thin and ate very little. The custom of showing a fat Buddha came from the view that enlightenment led to material success and wealth and a position at least close to nobility. And a belief that fat men were inherently benevolent , similar to the "jolly fat man", Jolly Ol' St. Nick

Buddha is not a god and is not morbidly obese.

Fucking idiot.

Well the Buddha was neither a god nor was he obese. Buddhist do not worship the Buddha but follow his teachings. You refer to Hotei, who is regarded as a buddha; he is a Chinese god. The term 'buddha" means "awakened one" or "enlightened one". Anyone has the potential to be a buddha.

1. Buddha is not a god.

2. The fat guy is a Chinese monk, not the original Buddha.

1) The Buddha was not a god.
2) He was not obese; the image you refer to is Chinese.
3) Learn something about what you want to mock, before attempting it. It generally works better that way.
