when i first turn it on? the heater/ac in my 2008 chrysler sebring makes a clicking noise for a few seconds when i first turn it on and then it stops the heat and cold air works my question what could be causing the clicking sound?

The most likely culprit is a piece of paper, or cabin filter, caught in the fan. Another scenario is that a pack rat has begun to make a nest in your intake system. I recommend pulling the fan motor out and checking it, and clearing any debris from the climate control system.
