i want to know we are asians I'm 5'1 and my husband is 5'6 and my son is 5'9 now. The pediatrician said he will be 6'3 his grandfathers are 6 ft tall but his dad is not. Could this be true will the prediction be correct. or did he just have his growth spurt early. He has always been in the over 99percentile since he was young and very consistent up to now. but lately his friends are catching up on him ...he is still the tallest but do you think he will stop growing or the pediatrician is correct. His voice has started to change.
 
Hard to say, many factors affect growth and genetics is just one of them. Hormones, diet, environment, physical fitness, etc all affects it. That said, there is really no simple model for predicting height vs. age given present height and age. It definitely nonlinear, maybe logarithmic or exponential fit? I've never tried to explore this myself. Good luck!
 
depends who eats healthier. my little sis is taller than me..and she eats healthier.
