i bought a new horse and we finally got her on the float for the hour long trip home. today she is having bad diarrhoea. she wont eat ANY hay just grass (which isn't helping) i fed her some hard feed and she eat that but constantly having diarrhoea! i already no the obvious answer of call the vet, so any other advice would be helpful.

She may be very stressed and rich grass will not help. I presume you are not in the US, so I don't know what products you have in UK or Australia, but a psyllium product coupled with a probiotic is what we immediately do for a loose stooled horse. Adequate water and hay to help her firm up and not get dehydrated. If hay is all she is offered, she will eat it. If you are not feeding her the same grain she got before, that is problematic too.

She is probaly stressed from what is happening to her. Hour long ride, new place, new owners, everything is overwhelming.
When horses are stressed, like at shows or something, they tend to be more "liquid" than when they are settled at home. This is a normal reaction, and eventually when she will get use to her new home, she will calm down :)
If this keeps going for more than 3 days, maybe you have bought a sick horse, so a vet check and maybe a talk with the previous owner will be need be.
But usually this is passive and she will get over it as soon as she feels at home.
