how come people say gay people get hiv/aids easily?

i am being very serious
i asked my doctor if that was true and she said i have no idea and i really don't care
is it true that the percentage of gay and lesbian people getting hiv/aids is higher then straight sex
i don't know im just wondering :/
and if it true how is it higher
 
its more of gay men have a higher right of getting HIV because anal sex can cause a lot of tearing. Tearing leads to blood and HIV is transfer through blood so when the sperm has contact with the injury there a high chance for HIV to spread. Also there a stereotype that gay perform un protective sex with is dangerous because there direct contact and a higher chance of transfering things. Gays are also thought to be into drugs resulting in poor decisions.
 
Before this comes off as offensive I'm just going to say that this is a theory, and is not meant to be offensive if it is. I have wondered the same thing.

The idea i have is that Gays and Lesbians did not use protection, because there was no chance of getting pregnant. Therefore when either of them had HIV/AIDS it was transferred immediately, but again just a theory.
 
Gays just have the stereoyype because in the 70's or 80's or sometime
there was a huge out break amongst gay men but currently i dont know what the statistics are

lesbians currently have the lowest percentage of ppl with aids
