How do I connect my HP TouchSmart310 to a Motorola Cable Box?

i have the above mentioned computer, and i want to know how to connect it so i can get live TV. we have Xfinity (comcast) with a motorola cable box. i think i need a TV tuner? is that different from a cable box? and i'd like to keep the cost under $50 if possible.
