when i try to open the dvd player it cant open and i tried to open it by using a pin and when i put a dvd to play it doesn't play.can some help me on how to power my dvd player to be able to open with it's button and play too.
Does the DVD drive spin when you put the DVD in and close the tray? If not, it sounds like the DVD drive is not properly powered OR the motor went out on the drive. If the drive does spin, then it could be the laser is dirty and can't read the disk, the disk is too dirty/scratched to be read, or the DVD drive could have gone out. My DVD drive recently decided to recognize a disk in the drive, then refuse to read or write to anything I put in it. I had to replace the drive because it wouldn't read or write anything from my CD's.
My guess is that either the DVD drive is not powered (since pressing the button doesn't get a response), or the drive simply died and you need to replace it.
