Bottom line you can't sell something that is not legally yours. My best advise is to contact the original owner and ask him or her nicely to sign the title. Most states require that you convey the title to the buyer. It's not the responsibility of the buyer to track down the title or any documents. There is an element of Fraud involved with all other options.
