The same way you prevent atheists, jews, muslims, buddhist, etc etc from killing.

What the heck does being a Christian have to do with murdering? Are you trying to say that only Christians murder?????

This question and your last question is so loaded.
People have minds of their own to do what they want to do.
Any belief or lack of belief system can be used to do good or bad.

the same way you stop atheist killing people, you know like abortion,drive buys,drug overdoses and my favorite AIDS, oh yeah i remimber read the bible give your life to God.

Christianity caused murders is a result of "religion". Religion has no excuse for something out of the bible, out of church, out of context.

When Catholicism killed witches they did so out of religion, not relationship with Christ. If someone were filled with the Holy Spirit and knew that their own sin meant death, just like the witchcraft practitioner, they would instead thank God for salvation and hope that the witch found what they had found.

We have all sinned and our own price has been paid by Christ up on that cross in front of us. We cannot hold our fellow human being accountable for transgressions here on earth because of what Christ did for us then.

Christian killing is a tell tale sign that the church is misguided or in sin that the person is from. Our church has an outward bound mission, trying to bring people to the realization that Christ is our ultimate salvation.

And ahem...there are NO scriptures that mention man having a free will. God predesines everything to happen...everything everything everything. And that which is evil, is simply what he ALLOWS to happen by simply withdrawing himself from the situation.
Where God is not, evil is.

We have to stop demonizing education and start funding our public schools again. People believe in all kinds of nonsense because they are isolated from society and intellectual endeavors. The best way to stop a self-centered, ego-driven delusional person is with cold logic and fact; but they can't get that if their schools are just warehousing them.

The number of deaths related to religion is greater than most think.
Educating people about the signs symptoms of mental illness is a big step.
If a new mother is saying or doing things that are questionable get her help or your endangering the child. Same with the man who is desperate and under stress.
Encourage the presences of a medical professional during religious healing.

Do you know if a person is a Christian or not?We cannot know for certain whether a person is or is not a true Christian (only God can makes such a determination). However, the Bible describes the nature of a person who is indwelt by the Holy Spirit (which happens at the point a person accept Jesus as Lord and Savior):

In addition, the true believer does what is right and demonstrates love toward others. Even non-believers can readily see who the true Christians are. Ultimately, the behavior of those who claim to be Christians but practice evil should not be a consideration in determining if the claims of Christ are true or not.

Yes, "Christians" have committed atrocities against other religious and non-religious people. However, atheists have committed far more atrocities than all religious groups combined. Even so, the key factor in these atrocities has been totalitarian power, rather than religion, which has resulted in these hundreds of millions of murders. The Bible says that people are evil, but that they can become transformed through the power of the Holy Spirit to live lives of love, joy and peace.

Which Christians exactly are you talking about? (By the way, "How do we discourage Christian killing people" is not correct English. Did you mean "How do we discourage Christians from killing people."? If so, please, in the future, get someone who speaks English to help you out here.

So, Christians killing people........huge problem in the world? Missed that on MSNBC.

i must say, just because someone killed out of the name of a religion, doesn't mean it was the religions fault.


i mean, people kill because their microwave "told them to", so should we blame the microwave?

its the peoples fault. not what their killing in name of.

You do not and cannot discourage because the whole thing has nothing to do with religion and everything to do with who we are. And we all follow an evolutionary imperative. If you do not "fight" you do not survive. This is true all the way down to the gene level.
