how does XBOX 360 AND OR PS3 run game graphics wise?

how does the ps3 or xbox 360 run the graphics? does it have a really high tech graphics card of some sort? please answer my question. i plan to use this information for... Research >:)
i knew that. but what im saying is computers always need upgrades. xbox and ps dont
how do they do that?

the graphics are pretty similar but it depends on the developer as well ps3 was made on an older graphic card and 360 was made on a newer one so multiplatform games will look a little better on the 360 if developers choose so yeah graphics like god of war or uncharted are good looking games because developers utilized the ps3s graphic card to do so but either way its pretty much the same depends on developers.......

Ex. dragon age origins looks better on ps3 than 360 (360 version is more muddier) or call of duty looks better on 360 than it does on ps3 etc.
 
the ps3 has better graphics for only a few games really like god of war and uncharted other wise they look the same to me.the only difference i notice is one is a little brighter and one is a little dimmer but if you are looking for a good gaming experience Xbox is better
 
They look virtually the same, but the PS3 has more powerful hardware.
