how much should i sell my 8gb 2nd generation ipod touch in fairly new condition?

i want to get a 16gb or maybe a 32gb ipod touch the newest generation and i wanted to sell my old one for it. ive had it in a case the whole time and i never dropped it. its a bit dirty on the back but there are no visable scratches on it
