How to allow unlimited region changes for Windows Media DVD player?

I have looked into unlocking that annoying feature in windows that only allows 5 region changes.
I have come accross 'Region Killer' and it seems to have recieved good reviews. I would like to know how this software works, how to use it and whther there is software that is better etc.
When looking over the reviews for 'Region Killer' I found a set of instructions that seemed a little risky and complicated (for me). I will leave the instructions in a link at the end. Could you tell me if these steps are really nessasay with this or any similar software. I was under the impression that you install and 'TADAA' unlimited DVD regions??

Mercuri, Thanks for the info but the mini lecture was a bit unnecessary ;-)
 
yes there is a chip in dvd drives to prevent to many changes so the chip must either be modified or flashed and reflashing is easier and safer than modifying the chip.
 
just download a small programme called DVDREGIONFREE, it then makes your computer then it is region free. just go to google and type in dvd region free.
