How to speed up torrent downloading?

My DL speed is just around 66kpb/s. But I have applied for an internet service that should provide me with 1mpb/s. My speedtests show that I have an 800kbp/s connection.

How can I speed up my torrent download?
My firewall is off, I've tried adding trackers, tweaking on it's settings, finding proper seeds, etc.
What else can I do?!?!

I usually download large files like movies which are around 800mb to 1gb which take me 6-8hours!! Can someone please help me? Any assistance would be highly appreciated :D
