Husband traded in our PS3+$400 in games, for $300!?

This isn't the first time.....he's traded in the wii and games too. We play both PS3 and Xbox equally and for Christmas I bought him like $250 in PS3 games. He traded everything PS3 for a USED kinect, kinect game and another Xbox controller. Over $650 of things for less than $300 in merchandise. He doesnt understand why I was so mad, Why that was throwing money out the window. Not to mention, we have a ton of blue ray movies! All a waste now!! I'm so mad I'm avoiding him at all costs tonight so that I don't flip out. Yes it's a dumb game, whatever, I'm mad about how much money was wasted. If he wanted those things for the Xbox we could have just bought them....also he had me at first believing the kinect and game were an anniversary gift.....once I saw the missing PS3 I put it together and he was actually Upset that I didn't appreciate his gift. My husbands not a complete idiot, dont get me wrong, but this sort of thing makes no sense. How do I calm down from this. What should I do to prevent this again? As mentioned he's done this before. Three times total infact. He has no concept of the value of things.
 
My sisters did that to me. I just ate it. They were stupid and that's that. What I don't understand is, why is your husband doing those things without telling/asking you first? Seriously, I'd be doing worse than just avoiding him. I'd start selling his things...Maybe then he'll learn.
 
USED kinect??? yuk that sucks. Anyway I think u should tell him that how much ur mad at him and how much money he have wasted. Also tell him never to do this again unless asking u first and tell him if he does it again without asking u will abandon him and will hate him for the rest of ur life. (He he that's just a trick for ur plan to work). Anyway good luck
