I am 20 years old and i just got my permit. (yes folks) i got it so late b/c i was terrified of driving. b/c ive been through life threatning car accidents. but screw that, b/c theres no excuses. anyways ive been practicing driving and I dont know why i freak out when i change lanes and manuever the car to make turns. i suck at making right turns btw. idk. i just want to know. is there anything i should keep in mind when turning? i am not very observant...so i also think i should learn more about traffic laws. is there a specific site for that? how can i boost my driving confidence? & any helpful tips that makes driving easier for you share it with me please. I NEED TO OVERCOME MY FEAR. and sry about typos.... im at work really not suppose to be online but i just had the urge to ask u guys these questions ;)

At least you're smart enough to realize that vehicles are 3,000 pound weapons in the wrong hands. Take a defensive driving course, it will also save on insurance. Good luck.

Practice in empty mall parking lots. Especially the things you aren't comfortable doing.

Practice...and more practice/
SLOW DOWN. Everything happens faster at 55 MPH.

Turn off radios and phones till you feel more comfortable

Traffic laws are best explained in your driving manual. THey are there in a simple easy to understand form that is more understandable than the state moror vehicle code which you can probably get online at the state DMV website if you thinkg it'll help
