Mitsubishi Galant 2000? The neon has 110,000 miles and the Galant 120,000.

Both of them for $2000-$2400

I don't mean to pour cold water on your plan, but you'd be better off saving some more money & getting a better car with lower mileage. Any car with over 100K on it is going to require a lot of maintenance & repairs. Have you budgeted for that?
The Neon is no longer made. It was never a very good car, and it's crash rating is poor. Avoid that. The Mitsubishi could be okay if it was taken care of, but again, I wouldn't recommend one with over 100K on it. Save your money and look for a nice used Mazda3 or Mazda Protege --- MUCH better car & fun to drive too. Good luck.
