Toshiba VCR/DVD player. How do I fix this? I have a Toshiba SD-V295 VCR/DVD Combo Player. The VCR Part works fine. But the DVD Player part gives me an Incorrect Disc error message no matter which DVD I put into the dvd tray. How do I get it to start reading the disc and playing the movie?

My fix was to rewrite the error codes in the machine - at least temporarily by playing a music cd first. Then when the system works with that take out the CD and play a very early DVD or even better a movie recorded on a CD.

This simple version DVD is usually accepted and will play. After that my machine accepts all DVD's without the error message as long as I don't turn it off.
