bad, do I need to get BLU-RAY? If there's hdmi will that work with dvd to lcd tv?
One additional item:

I just saw that my DVD player has built in upconverter and HDMI output. To use the upconverting feature with lcd tv, do I need to use HDMI output from dvd player or will component work?
