My grandfather recently took off the steeple and bell from an old church which had came into our possession several years back. We know that the bell is at least 100 years old, but we do not know an exact or even a range of dates for which it was made! As you can imagine, most of the letters have rusted over and are difficult to read. We did manage to manage to get the name of the company who made it and what we believe to be the "model number." It was made by "GS Bell" in Hillsboro, Ohio. The bell also has "No. 30" on it in several places. That is what we believe the model number is. We are not wanting to know a price to sell it, as we have no intent to do so. We are simply asking if anyone knows the date in which it was made. I really would like you to post a link to the website at which you found out its date, for assurance reasons. I really thank anyone and everyone for their help. We really need a date for this bell as soon as possible.I have taken several pictures with my camera and can email them to anyone who would like to see, if they would better help in dating the bell. Again, thank you so much!
