My Dad bought me a USB cable ... on the wire it's written
HISH SPEED CABLE 2.0 REVISION 28AWG/IPR+24AWG/2C

On the wire's package it's written
- ROHS
- High quality USB
- USB 2.0 CABLE
- 10 M (length)
- 28 AWG + 24 AWG GAUGE
HIGH PERFORMANCE
- WORKS WITH USB 2.0
x"y"d CABLE
- made in china
it won't work... tat icon appears like "new hardware detected" blah blah....when i checked it ...it says tat the driver for this device is not installed .... I really need it ...coz it's for my internet connection.....i hav another wire ..it works perfectly fine...but it is really short n I need tat 10 m long wire so tat i hav my laptop in my room .....and somewhere on internet i came across an article which said that
"There are only six manufacturers of USB 2.0 controllers: Acer Labs, Intel, NEC, SiS, VIA and nVidia (which may appear as 'Standard Controller'), but sometimes they are re-branded by other companies. In this case, you will need to find out which Controller is on your system and visit the manufacturers site for an update or special instructions. For example, if you have the Via USB Controller, you will need the Via USB 2.0 driver (you can download a copy here)."
