I need help with my Theatre School home work?

I've been tasked to write 2 different contrasting texts (e.g. emotional, comedy about a drama, song, poetry, etc...?)

I don't know what that means.

and to write 3 songs about love, and 3 songs about hate?

Can anyone please make this a little more understandable for me?

none of this is necessarily theatre work. A text is an essay or paragraph, or book. so what I'd do is describe a funny tv show I have seen and then I would describe why a song I like is sad....

wrotomg six songs is hard work for someone who is a music major in college. Better steal the melodies from songs you have heard and write new lyrics to them.
