...recommend i install thats safe? I just recently bought a new computer and I am trying to keep it running as fast as possible. My last computer had Limewire installed and i recently found out that Limewire will mess up your computer. So i was wondering what is the safest file sharing network where i can download mp3's for free onto my Ipod
 
Specifically, the problem isn't with Limewire itself but the files you find on Limewire. In that context it doesn't matter what the transport is (limewire, torrent, whatever) - you know nothing about the people who made the files available.

Keep your antivirus updated and have an anti-malware package loaded as well (i use Spybot)
