i know some one who is selling one, i want to know if they are safe, and reliable. im 16 years old, it will be my first car, i just dont want it to be my last. its a 5-speed, wich i can do. any information and comments would help.
i also forgot, its a 1993.

What to consider for a learning first car is it should be automatic. A new driver will be almost always distracted from the road all ways being concerned what gear to be in, up or down, and clutching all the time.

The 240 sx is also a rear wheel drive, less traction in the rain and snow.

two strikes, please buy an automatic, front wheel drive

The best. I have one with 215000 miles and it is still running perfectly. (knocks on wood)

It's a pretty nice car but along safety just go the speed limit and don't show off too much and you'll be good.
