Is an Ipod Car connect "kit" worth it, or will an AUX cable do? Scion XB '05?
Hey guys! Well I have a dilemma, I got this great car, but I can't play my iPod! (No cassette holder, guess its to be expected.) SO I've been researching, and after going through 9 different fm transmitters, I've come to the conclusion not to use them
Now I've been looking online, and seen tons of offers. They all say the same thing, take out the car stereo, and plug the "connector kit" into the aux slot, and route it through, put your stereo back and it will play, and charge your ipod. However, one site suggested just plugging in an AUX cable itself into stereo and just routing that through. Now, the AUX cable is like 7$, the car kit is about $130-200. I am ok with saving up and paying the ~$150 if it is worth it. I do not need the iPod charged, as I have an iHome at home that charges it fine, so I guess it boils down to, is the sound quality that much better? If any at all? I will use the iPod 24 in my car, and so if the $150 is worth it I'll gladly pay it. I hope this question makes sense lol, and thanks for taking the time answering! <3
