I have been looking for used cars and I have come across many pt cruisers for really low prices. Has anyone owned one before or know something about the car?

No, they aren't. My mother owns one, and she fills it up 5 times a month. Each time, she fills the tank from nearly empty, and it costs her over 50 dollars per fill up. She drives a mere 30 miles a day, just on weekdays. Its steering is fairly numb, and if you try to take a bend at more than 20 miles and hour, you feel like the car is going to fall over. Its speed and acceleration is laughable at best. Its suspension and seats are rock hard, which makes trips over 20 miles long miserable. Its trunk is a fair size, but considering how hideous I think it looks, and how if I see someone I know , I hide my face because I'm so embarrassed, that's not exactly worth it. It you're looking for a cheap car, try something like a Toyota Corolla or Ford Fiesta, used models cost around the same as a PT Cruiser.
