Is him meeting my parents a good or bad idea?

I've been friends with this guy for 3 months or so now, and we are really really really close. We usually hang out after school with groups of people but today it was just us alone for 2 hours and we talked and stuff, and we were holding hands for a bit.. And yeah basically it was really good haha ^.^ But I know my parents probably wouldn't want me to hang out with him, because they suspect EVERY guy I hang out with is my boyfriend. But I think them meeting him even if we aren't dating would make it better when we are (because I'm pretty sure it's going to happen soon), so I could go to his house with my parents trusting me not to do things like have sex or whatever with him, which I wouldn't. Sooo yeah, is it a good idea for them to meet him or not?
