Is Key West/Nassau Cruise a good senior trip?

My class is graduating this year and we have decided to go on a cruise to Key West Florida and Nassau Bahamas. I was just wondering if those were good places to have young adults to be. i know the drinking age is 18 in Nassau and i know my class well enough that yes, they're going to get drunk, but there will be 4-6 chaperone's with us on this trip so i'm not really worried about that. I'm more worried about the crime in those areas. Are both the Key West and Nassau safe? I've seen commercials for vacations to the Key West on TV and they make it seem great, but I would love some info from anyone that has gone there or knows anyone that has gone there. Any helpful input is appreciated. =)
