Is the Ares P2P File Sharing Program Safe?

The Government shut down Limewire, and I'm looking for a new P2P program to use to download music. I tried Frostwire, but it takes FOREVER and contains Adware.Hotbar. I heard of something called Ares. Is it safe to use or is it a virus? If it is, are there any other ones I could use, or any that are better? Thanks for your answers.
