this might be really obvious, seeing as they were both second world wars, but I'm noticing some very specific parallels between Naruto and World War II scattered throughout as I'm watching through the episodes beyond just superficial comparisons. The economic benefits derived from the war for the larger nations while some of the smaller were subjugated and destroyed. The creation of "weapons of mass destruction". I forget where, but there was a point where the parallel between America using the atomic bomb seemed ridiculously blunt. Has anyone else noticed this? Has it been confirmed by the author.
