Is there a difference between English Blue Rays and ones in North America?

I bought a blue ray disk via Amazon and it came from the UK. It looks exactly the same as any I would buy here in Canada but it won't work on any of my players...

And there you have it.As long as the companies can rake you over the coals for the most amount of money they can,they don't care a da*n bit about you or whether or not you have to do without having supper tomorrow,just give them your money and they will have breakfast,lunch and supper.

They have different area code that play only their area regions. The reason for it is they can sell same movie cheaper to poorer country. More to rich North American or UK. This is call price discrimination. They do this so you can't buy cheaper copy from other country.
