...Blu-Ray set up (direct to tv)? I have a new Blu-Ray. Should I use HDMI or RBG cables with Red & White audio cables?? Is the sound better through red/white audio cables or with the hdmi?
Which gives teh best picture?

It depends. Overall, most would suggest HDMI. It does deliver outstanding quality (at least for me), it requires less cords, and it also travels sound as well.

HD Component RGB cords are a hassle, too many wires. If you use a pair of old RGB wires compared to the expensive ones, you will see a quality picture difference in comparison to HDMI. I hate RGB cords.

Just stick with HDMI. They are kind of the same thing, but HDMI is still better.

For best picture quality, use an HDMI cable. If your HDTV is rated for 120 Hz or higher, be sure to get a Category 2 HDMI cable. Sound quality through the TV itself is about the same with either cable set-up.

When properly setup and using HD rated component cables - you cannot tell the difference between the HDMI feed and Component cables.

HOWEVER: Many TV companies assume you will be using HDMI and use cheaper-than-normal electronics to process the component feed. This can result in artifacts.

HD Rated component cables are also about 50% more expensive than the same length HDMI cable. and you still have to add in the audio cables to the cost.

"Red & White" - never use these as these are Stereo. For HDTV you want to use optical (For Dolby Digital 5.1) or HDMI.
